As new high-performance cabling systems are developed and implemented, every aspect of the installation demands a higher level of capacity and greater attention to detail. New check parameters have been added. Links have to be tested using one of two link models (the 'permanent link' or the 'channel') and are tested and evaluated over a wider frequency range and with more data points. The components from which the links are built should provide better performance and the quality of the finish during installation should improve accordingly
